Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the most common questions I get. If you don't see your question here, please contact me and I will get back to you ASAP!

What do you count as a startup?

I'm going to throw that question back to you. Do you feel like a startup? For my purpose, there is no exact criteria for defining a startup. The workshops are intended for founding teams and key people of new and growing companies, where the founders are still involved. Of course, I'm happy to work with any type of company if there's something I can help with, but the open workshops are intended for newer, less stabilized companies.

Can several people join from the same startup?

Yes, you are very welcome! In fact, it is recommended that 2-3 people join from the so that you can work on the themes together. If you have more than 3 people who would like to join, I recommend signing up for a "Just for our team" workshop.

What is the location?

Amsterdam or Turku, Finland, unless otherwise specified. The exact location depends on how many people sign up for each workshop. The details will be e-mailed to you a few days before each workshop, at the latest.

What is the language used?

English, unless otherwise specified. I also work in Finnish and Swedish (and understand Dutch well), so if one of those is your preferred language, please contact me for individual workshops.

How can I pay?

I will send you an invoice by e-mail when you have registered for a workshop. The invoice needs to be paid at least one week before the workshop and it will not be refunded, unless the workshop is cancelled by me.

Why is the invoice from a Finnish company?

At the moment, I am using my Finnish company to collect payments. This means that unless you are a Finnish company, the VAT on the invoice will be 0% and it will be reverse charged. Just tell your accountant that this is a reverse charge invoice and they will know what to do. My Finnish company number is Y-2036227-9.
